NURSING AND SPANISH ABROAD PROGRAM

Course overview:

This attractive program includes:

• Professional language training.
• Visits to a General Hospital, urban and rural health-centers.
• Encounters with students and teachers from Burgos Nursing School.

This program combines:

• The study of the language.
• Culture and history of Spain.
• An interesting and specific nursing experience in Burgos, Spain.

Course organization:

Spanish Language course run by experts in Spanish communication skills.

Nursing courses. EDE – Escuela de Español – has developed a new Case Program for this group. This activity takes place each Friday while the students are in our school.

This activity is intended for conducting specialized courses that include a combination of knowledge and nursing vocabulary in Spanish along with a comparison between health cares in Europe and the States.

This program includes diffetent activities in and outside of the school:

• Guided tours along the cultural most important areas of Burgos (the cathedral, the historic city center, the castle of Burgos, museums, art galleries, etc...).
• Sports: paddle tennis, swimming, gymnastics...
• Bar-hopping tour around Burgos: the famous Spanish tapas, music, Spanish dances, etc...
• Excursions to cities close to Burgos (San Sebastián, Santander, Bilbao, etc...) or to important villages in the province of Burgos.
• Accomodation in a university dorm (Residencia Universitaria de San Augustín) (3 meals a day included).

Duration:

Program of one month: 140 hrs (4 weeks), divided in the following way:

• Course of Spanish language and culture: 40 hrs.
• Course of Nursing School: 40 hrs.
• Activities in tutored groups: 20 hrs.
• Cultural activities outside of school: 40 hrs.
